No Decision to Grant Vilma Restraining Order
Jonathan Vilma's restraining order hearing in federal court Thursday produced no decision from U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan.

The suspended Saints linebacker and defensive captain is hoping to get an injunction granted so he can play while his lawsuit against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell ensues.

Vilma testified, as did interim head coach Joe Vitt and teammates Roman Harper, Sedrick Ellis Jonathan Casillas and Scott Shanle.

Each said no money was paid for hits meant to injure any opponent.

Berrigan didn't offer a time table for when a ruling would be made.

Judge Berrigan said she needs more to decide, and that she has jurisdictional concerns about Goodell's decision to suspend Vilma.

The NFL's lawyers suggested Judge Berrigan lacks jurisdiction to overturn the suspension.
