Hornets rally from 15 down to win, extend victory streak to 6
Marcus Thornton tipped an inbounds pass that was stolen by Trevor Ariza, and seconds later scored the game winning layup as the Hornets beat Memphis Wednesday night 103-102 in overtime.

The Hornets have now won 6 straight. They have also won all three overtime games played in the past week.

The Hornets trailed the Grizzlies by as many as 15 in the third quarter. Thornton entered the game for the first time at the 5:20 mark of the third quarter. He scored all of his 17 points in the fourth quarter and overtime.

New Orleans tied the game at 92 when Emeka Okafor made the second of two free throw attempts with 23.6 to play in regulation.

In overtime, Memphis led 102-98 when Chris Paul threw in a long three pointer with :20 left to play. Seconds later Thornton tipped Mike Conley's inbounds pass. It was stolen by Ariza, who gave it to Paul. Paul then found Okafor who bounced passed to Thornton for a reverse layup with 6.6 to play that gave the Hornets the lead.

Rudy Gay's 20 foot jump shot at the horn was long off the back iron. Most of the 15.591 at New Orleans Arena erupted with joy. An LSU Tiger and fan favorite had led a stirring comeback.

The Hornets have also beaten Orlando, and Houston in overtime games in the past week.
