Report: Hornets have deal for Suns' Lopez

The Hornets have filled a need, a veteran center.

The Hornets have acquired center Robin Lopez and forward Hakim Warrick from the Phoenix Suns in a three team deal that includes Minnesota.

The deal has yet to be announced, but will be shortly.

The Hornets will send guard Jerome Dyson, a pair of second round picks, and the contract of Brad Miller to Minnesota.

The Timberwolves send guard Wesley Johnson and a first round pick to Phoenix.

Lopez played in 64 games with Phoenix last season, all as a reserve. He averaged 5.4 points and 3.3. rebounds. Lopez is 24 years old.

Dyson was a pleasant surprise for the Hornets. Signed to a 10 day contract April 10th, he averaged 7.4 points in 9 games, with 1 start.
