Patrick Morton's recovery from major knee surgery is nothing short of miraculous. Morton tore the ACL in his left knee in practice last season.
He had surgery in November. Three months later, he was 100% recovered.
Morton said he got his inspiration from a famous quarterback who also plays in New Orleans: "They told me I am very quick healer, just like Drew Brees."
Almost six months after surgery, he returned to practice at John Curtis Christian School, but he has been held out of contact.
"He's full go," says Coach J.T. Curtis. "We can let him go full speed right now, but we are just going to be a little more cautious with him and get him through spring, get him reps but not take any chances."
Last year, Morton watched as his team win the state 2A football championship, but he is not looking back, he is looking forward.
"God puts things in your life that happen for a reason and it's about how you get up from it," says Morton.
