NEW ORLEANS—U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu is speaking out about the plight of orphans in Haiti.
On Monday, the Louisiana Democrat visited the hurricane-stricken nation and went to the Rose-Mina de Diegue Orphanage in Port-au-Prince, the capital. The orphanage was damaged in the Jan. 12 earthquake.
State Department to push for more adoptions of orphans worldwide.
On Tuesday, she joins U.S. Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of
Florida and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas for an education roundtable discussion and a visit to St. Terese's Child Friendly Space and God's Littlest Angels Orphanage.
