Games on back to back nights caught up with the Hornets against Phoenix.

One night after the Hornets beat Miami in overtime, the Hornets lost at home to the Suns, 105-100.

Chris Paul scored 29 points and handed out 16 assists.

Head coach Byron Scott said, "it just looked like we were tired. We looked a step slow in everything we were doing. We picked it up in the fourth quarter, but it is too late. You can't turn that switch on and off. That is the biggest problem right now."

The Hornets scored only 14 points in the decisive third quarter. The Suns bench outscored the Hornets 28-11.

The Hornets (48-30) play at Dallas Friday night.
