Today's Hot Button Issue: the dangers of lead poisoning have forced New Orleans to close three popular playgrounds.

The city tested 13 playgrounds and found that Danneel Playground, Taylor Playground, and Annunciation Playground all had high levels of lead.

They will be closed for six weeks while the city gets rid of the toxin.

The recent tests came after the city found lead in Markey Park in the Bywater.

Lead is always a problem in old cities like New Orleans since it was used in paint. High levels of lead can be dangerous for children, causing health problems and learning disabilities.
