Dear Friends,

In December 2009, 15-month old Collin Betley was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - the most serious of nine identified types of muscular dystrophies, which is characterized by progressive muscular weakness and related skeletal deformities. It typically leads to wheel chair dependency by age 10 to 12, as well as, respiratory difficulties and heart problems. Despite the tireless and persistent efforts of many dedicated researchers around the world, there is no cure for Muscular Dystrophy.
