BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV, MyFoxAL.com) -- On Thursday U.S District Judge Mark Fuller denied Former Governor Don Siegelman’s request to get out of prison while appealing his political corruption conviction.
Siegelman was convicted along with former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy of taking part in a bribery scheme to land Scrushy on a state board.
The former governor may ask the Federal Appeals Court in Atlanta to overturn the decision.
