Former Gov. Don Siegelman has been spending 23 hours a day in his jail cell shared with former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy.

The 61-year-old does not even have access to a clock to even know the time of day in his federal penitentiary cell.  David McDonald one of Siegelman's lawyers said the former Governor has lost weight but remains in good spirits.

Judge Mark Fuller recently admitted he made a mistake in ordering Siegelman to pay $181, 000 in restitution for the corruption charges Siegelman was acquitted.
