    As a little kid, I used to say I wanted to be a chef, surgeon or professional dancer, but that was before Watergate. During the summer of '73, Mr. "B," a lifeguard at the beach where I hung out, would sneak into the parking lot and listen to the hearings in his car. I asked him about it, and he invited me to sit out there with him. He also taught me to swim. I found Watergate much more interesting.
