    I noticed with much disdain that in addition to some "other" federal legislators, our own Maryland delegation is now denouncing the penalty imposed upon Ray Rice ("5 from Maryland congressional delegation call for harsher punishment for Rice," Aug. 1). They have unilaterally called the penalty imposed by the NFL insufficient. I am not diminishing the seriousness of domestic violence nor do I condone many of the "near criminal" actions in which some professional athletes participate.
