  15. Festival of Silver Lights In Meriden

Making spirits bright is the holiday mission in Meriden where the town gets amped up for the Festival of Silver Lights, a tradition since 1988. Jane Earnest, the Coordinator for Meriden Parks and Recreation Department, said "it started with a few deer and then little by little, each year, we had things flying in the air and then we had things in the water...and everybody who comes here has a specific thing they like." Lindsay Gagnon, from Bristol, came to the park to illuminate one year old son Aidan. "You can drive or you can walk, they have a little Santa's workshop and we're going to take a walk there, " Gagnon said.

  17. Daytrippers: Radio Controlled Cars

The massive amount of snow on the ground is causing parents to look to indoor activities to entertain their families. It is covered in 300 yards of hard packed, screened topsoil which makes the twisty dirt road extremely fast for the small vehicles. These "indoor electric off-road" cars routinely soar over jumps and crash into walls!
