Scottie Pippen named Giordano's brand ambassador

Here’s hoping another classic Scottie Pippen commercial comes from this partnership.

The Bulls legend and NBA Hall of Famer – who has entertained us in commercials for years, sometimes intentionally – has been named a brand ambassador for Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza. Pippen will attend the grand opening of the Giordano’s location in the Shops of Heatherfield in Glenview Sunday. The open-to-the-public event will take place from 4-7 p.m. and include games of pop-a-shot.

A spokeswoman for Giordano’s said Pippen is also expected to promote other locations opening in the North Shore this year.

Pippen – a North Shore resident himself -- isn’t the first Bulls great to team up with Giordano’s. Derrick Rose became an investor in the pizza franchise in 2012 and appears in the restaurant’s marketing, including online ads and billboards.
