    Nicholas Direnzo, 81, Hollsopple, died May 22, 2013 at Windber Hospice. Born March 12, 1932 in Conemaugh Township, the son of Dominick and Mary (Verna) Direnzo. Preceded in death by parents; infant daughter Colleen Diane; and brothers Bill and Leroy. Survived by wife of 58 years, Delretta A. "Tina" (Hall) Direnzo; children: Lisa A. married to William Rievel, Johnstown; Tammy L. Direnzo, Columbus, Ohio; Nicholas D., Hollsopple; and Dominick M., New York, N.Y.; grandchildren: Robert Speicher; Chad Speicher and wife Marge; Zachariah Tucker and wife Melissa; Crystal Speicher; Emily Tucker; Tony and Amber Direnzo; great-granddaughter Josalyn Speicher; brother DuWayne, married to former Carol Marone, Hollsopple; sister Carole, married to Joe Achten, Laguna Nigel, Calif. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School; a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War having retired as a chief petty officer after 20 years of service. He was a member of Jerome Sportsmen and Christian Assembly Church, Hollsopple, where he served as a deacon; a life member of the D.A.V., Johnstown Chapter and Fleet Reserve Association; former van driver for Somerset County Transportation Service for 35 years. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Nick was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice, especially Dorothy Altman, for all their kindness and compassion. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Richard F. Lambert presiding. Interment P.O.S. of A. cemetery, Hooversville, with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard. Donations in Nick's memory may be sent to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963.
