Developers challenge L. Nazareth zoning for apartments

Hundreds of new apartments could spring up in Lower Nazareth if a developer's lawsuit is successful in its challenge to township zoning. Bethlehem-based K&S Development is suing Lower Nazareth over a 645-unit apartment complex it hopes to erect on 54 acres near Route 33, charging that zoning unfairly excludes apartments from being built in the township. Joining the Northampton County Court suit is another company that also could also benefit if the zoning were overturned: Woodmont Properties of Chatham, N.J., which wants to build a 264-unit complex off Route 191 near Christian Spring Road.
