Woman jumps out of moving Jeep on I-264 after brakes fail; causes multi-vehicle crash, official says

A multi-vehicle accident on I-264 in Virginia Beach Wednesday morning was caused by a woman who jumped out of a moving vehicle, an official said. The driver of a 2002 Jeep Cherokee was traveling westbound on I-264 during the rush hour morning commute when she attempted to slow down, but couldn't, Virginia State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya said in a news release. The driver told police her brakes were not working properly, so she jumped out of  her moving vehicle onto the interstate, Anaya said. A 2011 Honda mini-van attempted to avoid striking the woman and struck the rear end of the abandoned Jeep, pushing it into a 2000 BMW, Anaya said....
