Yeah, Amazon is efficient, but online browsing is woefully lacking in aesthetic pleasures compared with the experience at O. Brisky Books, a fixture in the cozy business district of Micanopy. The town, about 15 miles south of Gainesville off Interstate 75, is a Norman Rockwell-worthy Southern village that's ground zero for antiques, porch swings and books.
In a shop such as O. Brisky's, with thousands of titles that range from history, philosophy and religion to Willie Mays, surprises are the best part of the experience. I don't know what I'm looking for until I find it.
