    Minnesota's McNeil arrested on domestic assault charges
    Minnesota suspended Baltimorean Daquein McNeil indefinitely Tuesday after he allegedly was involved in a domestic violence incident. McNeil, a sophomore guard, remained in the Hennepin County jail early Tuesday without bail after he was booked on probable cause Monday night. Minneapolis Police records indicated that a woman, who identified herself as McNeil's girlfriend, said he physically assaulted her after an argument. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. "We are currently gathering information and cooperating with the authorities. This athletics department values respect and positively impacting the lives of others and will not tolerate any form of domestic assault from its staff or student-athletes," Minnesota athletic director Norwood Teague said in a statement. McNeil, the second guard off the bench for the Gophers, is averaging 3.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists this season. He starred for Carver as a freshman and fared well with Nike Baltimore Elite on the Amateur Athletic Union circuit, then left East Baltimore after his freshman year to play at Vermont Academy in Saxtons River.
