Manchester senior Chelsea Smith spent the last four years trying to figure out what events she was best at in track and field.
This season, she got her answer.
Smith won the 200- and 400-meter dashes at the Randy Smith Journal Inquirer Invitational on May 20, setting a meet record in the 200. She ran 25.12 in the 200 and 58.28 in the 400, both personal records as Manchester won the large school title.
"I can't really believe I won," Smith said about the invitational wins. "I've been thinking about winning both these races since I was a freshman. I wanted to do it for my school."
