MANCHESTER — Under blue skies and sunshine on a balmy Thanksgiving morning, thousands descended on Main Street and the surrounding areas for the 79th annual Manchester Road Race.
Event organizer Jim Balcome signaled the start of the race with his traditional catchphrase: This is Thanksgiving in Manchester!
"This is the place to be on Thanksgiving Day," Balcome said over loudspeakers as racers made their way across the starting line on Main Street, near St. James Street.
