While U.S. Women's Soccer coach Jill Ellis and players make final preparations before their departure to Brazil for the Olympic Games, they will take part in some history along the way.
The team will play South Africa for the first time Saturday at Soldier Field in the penultimate game before the Olympics. South Africa will be just the second team from Africa the U.S. has faced and the coaching staff has very little tape of the opponent.
Although the oddity of knowing so little about a foe might shock many in today's easy-access world, coaches and players are using the experience as a way to prepare for the Olympics.
