Logan Pause bows out a winner in season finale

Fire owner Andrew Hauptman said he shares fan frustrations over another difficult season and that a turnaround under new on-field staff this season wasn't expected to occur overnight.

"(But) the path that we're on is the right one," Hauptman insisted before Friday's season finale at Toyota Park.

"We've made massive strides off the field in terms of our growth and relevance," he said. "I'm really desperate for that moment when the stars are aligning both on the field with all of the activity off the field. We'll absolutely get to that place."
