Teen Named Ambassador Of Connecticut Cancer Foundation Fundraiser

Nate Rosario was supposed to be focused on his freshman year of high school, and making the school's soccer team, in the summer of 2017.

Instead, the 14-year-old East Hartford resident was given a much tougher challenge. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a blood cancer, last July.

Rosario has attended about three weeks of school at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, in Windsor, as he mostly receives tutoring at home. Much of his time, said his mother Damaris Gonzalez, is spent at various medical appointments.
