According to a recent survey of 5,000 households across the United States, job satisfaction is at its lowest level in two decades. The Conference Board, a nonprofit organization that analyzes trends and makes economic-based forecasts, determined that people were less enthralled with their work and more worried about losing their jobs than they’ve been in 20 years. South Florida songwriters remain on top of that trend. While we haven’t heard any dance remixes of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” we didn’t have much of a problem rounding up five songs from local bands about the hellish 9-to-5 grind.
