Maxim Letunov, UConn's leading scorer as a freshman last season, had his NHL rights dealt to the Stanley Cup finalist San Jose Sharks on Monday along with a 2017 sixth-round draft selection by the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for San Jose's 2016 fourth-round and 2017 third-round selections. Letunov had 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points for the Huskies. Among NCAA freshmen, he finished fifth in scoring, playing in all of the school's 36 games. A native of Moscow, he originally was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the second round (55th overall) of the 2014 NHL draft.
