Blues' Jori Lehtera sidelined 6-8 weeks following ankle surgery

Jori Lehtera's second season in the NHL may not start on time. The Blues announced Monday that Lehtera had surgery on his right ankle last Tuesday and will be sidelined six to eight weeks. The Finnish center will miss training camp, and the timetable for his return could put the club's 2015-16 regular-season opener Oct. 8 in jeopardy. The Blues acknowledged that the injury is a carry-over from the end of the 2014-15 regular season. So why not have the surgery sooner?
