Ducks beat Predators 5-2 for 1st win by home team in series

Coming home worked out just fine for the Anaheim Ducks.

They beat the Nashville Predators 5-2 on Saturday for the first victory by a home team in their first-round series, taking a 3-2 lead and all but forgetting their earlier losses on home ice.

"Those first two games we lost at home were rock bottom for us," said Ryan Garbutt, who scored the go-ahead goal in the second period. "We definitely want to finish it off in six."

The Ducks had rallied to tie the series with two wins in Nashville, where Game 6 is Monday.
