    Former Terps guard Lexie Brown to transfer to Duke
    Former Maryland guard Lexie Brown has transferred to Duke. The rising junior will sit out this season under NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2016-17 season. Brown was an Associated Press third-team All-American, first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection and Big Ten tournament Most Outstanding Player as a sophomore, but transferred to be closer to her home in Suwanee, Ga.. Brown averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals while helping to guide the Terps to a second straight Final Four appearance in the NCAA tournament. "Lexie is an incredible student-athlete," Duke coach Joanne P. McCallie said in a release. "She is highly motivated to pursue academics and basketball at the highest level in the ACC. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Duke family."
