Keith McCambridge Staying Patient With The Wolf Pack

When the New York Rangers hired Keith McCambridge to coach the Wolf Pack, they did so with hope a new voice and direction would help their AHL affiliate reboot after finishing last in the league in 2016-17.

“We have been able to learn and grow as a group,” McCambridge said after practice Thursday. “They are learning what the AHL is about, how fast the pro game is and how little time and space you have [to react]. … We are pleased with the development of our guys now.”

Still, things have been moving slowly. The Wolf Pack sit 10-12-3-2, seventh in the eight-team Atlantic Division. Their 74 goals are the fewest in the division and their 96 goals-against are tied for last. But the...
