NEW YORK — Quinnipiac wasn't just beating Harvard Saturday night. The Bobcats were embarrassing the Crimson under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden, scoring three goals in a span of 36 seconds and adding another one less four minutes later.
It was a rather ridiculous first period. The nation's consensus No. 1 team was weaving into the Harvard zone, tying defensemen up in knots and zipping the puck into the net, seemingly at will.
But the work wasn't done. Harvard pushed back, scoring four unanswered goals to send the game to overtime, where Quinnipiac ultimately produced a meaningful memory and hopped the boards in celebration.
