Last year, the footballs were underinflated. This year, they were left behind in an airport hotel room. Yes, it's playoff season in Patriots Nation. A year after the gripping Deflategate saga, there's word that the Massachusetts State Police delivered footballs to Gillette Stadium before Saturday's Chiefs-Patriots game. It seems the balls, used in the kicking game, were left in a room at the Hyatt at Logan Airport. League officials reached out to the hotel about two hours before kickoff and the balls were discovered in the room with — of course — air pressure gauges.
