On The Fly: After 29 Years In The AHL, Bob Crawford To Make NHL Debut At MSG

Bob Crawford’s job as the Wolf Pack’s longtime broadcaster is to bring life to the aspirations of those trying to make the NHL. On Saturday, for the first time in his 29-year career in the AHL, Crawford will be called to the NHL to broadcast the Rangers-Devils game at Madison Square Garden. Crawford, 51, has been in Hartford since 1997, when the Rangers moved their AHL team here from Binghamton, N.Y. In his career, he has called more than 2,000 AHL games.
