Canton High School Football Boosters Ask For Help Funding Team

CANTON — The group that pays for Canton High School's football team has asked the board of education to start paying for at least part of the program's costs.

That plea for assistance from the Friends of Canton Football was made when the board met on June 14. The Friends group fully funds the football team at a cost of about $45,000 a year and until recently also raised money to cover the cost of the high school's girls lacrosse team, although that is now funded by the district.
