Co-Op Football Team Considered For Canton High School

The Canton board of education may implement a cooperative football program with another town’s high school, which would bring in more players and a partner to share costs.

That plan was outlined to the board Tuesday as part of strategic plan for the district’s sports programs. Assistant Superintendent of Schools Jordan Grossman told the board he has talked to officials in other districts about a potential collaboration and at the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference. If a partner can be found in time for the fall season it would be done, but there are challenges, Grossman said.
