'Pedal To The Medal' Adds Cycling To Hartford Marathon Weekend

Some of the best ideas are born out of the most difficult circumstances, and for Chion Wolf, that certainly rings true.

In June 2016, Wolf, a Connecticut Public Radio personality, was struck while riding her bicycle at the corner of Farmington Avenue and Whitney Street in Hartford’s West End. A traumatic experience, to be sure, and one that left her with a broken collar bone, a plate and eight screws. But the crash left her thinking about a cycling utopia — one unencumbered by traffic — and a lightbulb went off:
