Maybe you're new to this running thing. Or you're a veteran road racer. You head out one Saturday morning to run your local 5K, perhaps the one the rec department puts on annually, or the one that benefits a scholarship at the high school.
It's a small-town race. Maybe 150 people show up, mostly locals.
And then you see this group of runners congregating. One is an older gentleman. He's wearing a pink tutu and shorts and nothing else, which would be odd enough in itself, except that it's 25 degrees outside. There's another guy at the finish line, snapping photos with his cellphone and yelling, "YEAH!" to every runner who finishes.
