Travelers Notebook: Memorial Garden Offers Tribute To Sifford, Casper

CROMWELL — To honor Charlie Sifford and Billy Casper, legendary figures in the PGA Tour event in Connecticut who died in February, the Travelers Championship Memorial Garden will be constructed. Sifford, winner of the 1967 Greater Hartford Open, died at 92 on Feb. 3. Four days later Casper, winner of the most PGA Tour titles played in Connecticut (four) and a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, died at 83.
