The last thing Paul Casey wanted to see on Friday morning was two bogeys in his first three holes.
Casey struggled at the first and third holes, both par-4s. But the England native was able to settle down for the rest of the front nine, birdie four holes on the back nine, and end the day at 8 under, tied for third.
“I found the golf course a bit difficult this morning,” he said. “The greens were super fast. The pin positions are aggressive.”
Casey was even after the front nine, but was able to birdie Nos. 15-17 to push himself into contention.
