UConn Football: Zavier Scott, By Way Of Germany, Lands In Huskies' Backfield

Zavier Scott was a true international man of mystery to college football teams when he was coming out of high school.

UConn knew it had something special in the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Scott, who spent two years at Vilseck High School in Germany but generated little college interest playing overseas. However, Randy Edsall and his staff had to find the best way to use him.

“He was one of those guys who was an athlete and you wondered where you wanted to play him,” said Edsall, following Thursday morning practice at the Shenkman Training Center.
