April 2, 2009 to Wednesday: Jay Cutler's timeline with the Bears

April 2, 2009: The Bears acquire Jay Cutler in a trade with the Broncos, sending quarterback Kyle Orton, two first-round draft picks and a third-rounder for him.

Nov. 12, 2009: In a bumpy first season in Chicago, Cutler's worst game is a five-interception disaster in a 10-6 loss in San Francisco. The Bears finish 7-9 with Cutler setting career highs in touchdown passes (27) and interceptions (26). At season's end, offensive coordinator Ron Turner is fired.

Jan. 30, 2010: A day after interviewing for the offensive coordinator job, Mike Martz flies to Nashville to meet with Cutler. He is hired two days...
