The New York Jets (established in 1960) are a professional football team that competes in the NFL and plays its home games at The Meadowlands in New Jersey. The Jets won Super Bowl III over the Baltimore Colts in 1968 in a game that then-quarterback Joe Namath famously predicted they would win.
