Excuse me, but I’m sick of hearing hear how the Bears are a victory over Tampa Bay away from having the same record they took into the bye last season.
The subtext seems to be this: Look at the way they stumbled to start last season and still won...

Look, Jay Cutler wouldn’t have to use naughty words if offensive coordinator Mike Martz would simply call the game plan Cutler told him to call.
Cutler didn’t deny he F-bombed Martz in Sunday night’s game, nor did he have any regrets...

Sorry, but this should’ve been easier.
The Bears should’ve handled the Chargers with a lot less worry.
The Bears shouldn’t have allowed it to become a game into the fourth quarter.
Maybe that’s a reflection of how strong I think...

If “A’’ is Caleb Hanie and “B’’ is Kyle Orton, then I’ll take “C’’ --- none of the above.

There’s a lot of vitriol aimed at the Bears offense after Lovie Smith’s team embarrassed itself against a bad Minnesota bunch. I get it. Mike Tice’s offense ranks worse than Mike Martz’s, and how stupid is that?

GREEN BAY -- The coaching adage is that a team is never as good as it might look in a victory and never as bad as it might appear in a defeat. Keeping that in mind, we’ll try to maintain perspective with 10 thoughts coming out of another ugly loss...

All that was missing was a Shanahan and a view of the Rocky Mountains.
Short of raising the Halas Hall practice field to a higher altitude, the Bears have done virtually everything possible to recreate the Denver experience for quarterback Jay Cutler....

It still makes no sense that the Bears ignored their starting offensive line in the first phase of free agency or the draft.
It makes less sense when you believe the Bears are a Super Bowl contender the way I believe.
It’s even more mind-...

Sunshine has not been difficult to find at the oceanfront site of the NFL owners meetings, but Lovie Smith brought more of it Wednesday in a breakfast with the media.
The Bears coach was particularly optimistic about the addition of wide receiver Brandon...
