Giants Cut Davis Of UConn; Pats Release 5 Receivers

The New York Giants have put placekicker Josh Brown on the NFL's reserve-suspended list as part of a number of moves to reach the 53-man roster limit.

The team also cut wide receiver Geremy Davis, a sixth-round pick in 2015 from UConn. He played in 10 regular-season games last season, catching two passes for 21 yards.

The Giants announced 20 of their needed 22 roster moves on Saturday. They were waiting until after the 4 p.m. EDT deadline to announce the final two moves.

Brown was suspended by the league for the opening game because of a violation of its personal conduct policy following his arrest in 2015 on a domestic violence allegation.
