On The Fly: Cahokia, Ill., Youth Team Acts Against Injustice

An entire youth football team in Cahokia, Ill., had a Colin Kaepernick moment over the weekend — except they went a little further. Not only did the Junior Comanches kneel during the playing of the national anthem before their game Sunday, they turned their backs, too, according to the Belleville News-Democrat. The players staged the demonstration after former police officer Jason Stockley, who is white, was found not guilty of first-degree murder Friday by a St. Louis circuit judge in the shooting death of Anthony Lamar Smith, who is black, Dec. 20, 2011.
