Michael Ola tops Bears' performance-based pay list

The Chicago Bears claimed offensive lineman Michael Ola off waivers from the Miami Dolphins during the offseason last year and he wound up starting at four different positions, earning him a good check for performance-based pay. The NFL Management Council shared each club's performance-based pay distributions for the 2014 season Friday and Ola was tops on the team at $266,554, more than half of his pay for the season. Ola played in 13 games and made 12 starts. Performance-based pay divides a pool of $3.633 million for each team and each player receives a share.
