Former Bloomfield High School head football coach Bobby Gibson was sworn in Friday as the newest state legislator.
Gibson gathered with family and friends at the historic Hall of the House at the state Capitol in Hartford for a brief swearing-in ceremony with House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz and others.
After being sworn in, Gibson said in a brief speech that he had been advised not to become a state legislator.
