1. Ray Lewis' future could include speaking engagements, endorsements

Of this, there is not much debate: no one in sports has mastered the pregame speech like Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. And his gift for hyper intense gab — the way he builds to furious crescendo, cajoling those listening to rise up against an enemy that has always committed the ultimate sin of underestimating him and his brethren — will continue to make him money.

Nothing about Marvin Miller seemed feisty or controversial at first glance; the soft-spoken economist was a smallish man with gray hair and a tidy mustache. But as a union leader, it was Miller who took on baseball's establishment in the late 1960s,...

  13. Naughty Or Nice, It's A Holiday Special Delivery

OK, it has been awhile. And yes they had to dig deep — DEEP — into the photo archives to find this mug. Make no mistake though, "Stanta" is back! Yes, by popular demand. (That's what I told the op-ed folks anyway.)

  15. Five Things We Learned in the Ravens 30-27 victory over the Cardinals

    1. If the Ravens really want to get the most out of Joe Flacco, maybe they should stop trying to mold him into something he's not (a drop back passer) and start playing to more of his strengths. That means putting him in the shotgun, increasing the tempo of the offense, and getting him into a rhythm with short, quick throws.
