Ten thoughts after the Chicago Bears showed they could play offense in the second half, putting away the Atlanta Falcons 27-13 Sunday at the Georgia Dome.

1. Unless Willie Young went the Alonzo Spellman route when setting goals for his season, he ought to be on pace in terms of sacks. Spellman, the former Bears defensive end, said he wanted to have “high double-digits” for his sack total entering a given season. So, like 85 or 90? Obviously, Spellman meant high teens and that is what Young is on pace for with seven through the first six games.
