Buccaneers fall to Rams to start season 0-2

TAMPA, Fla. -- With starting quarterback Sam Bradford out for the season and backup Shaun Hill nursing a thigh injury all week, the St. Louis Rams put their offense in the hands of Austin Davis, an undrafted free agent who entered the year third on their depth chart. Davis wasn't spectacular, but he got the job done, leading the Rams to a 19-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Trailing by one point with just over five minutes to play, Davis led the Rams (1-1) 71 yards down the field, setting up kicker Greg Zuerlein's game-winning 38-yard field goal with 38 seconds remaining.
