    Assistant Tina Langley leaves Terps for top job at Rice
    Tina Langley has resigned as associate head coach of the Maryland women's basketball team to accept the head coaching position at Rice. Langley was Brenda Frese's top assistant, helping the Terps reach the Final Four in each of the past two seasons. Rice had been searching for a new coach since Gregg Williams announced his retirement March 17 after 10 seasons with his alma mater. Langley is Frese's second assistant to leave in as many years. Last season, David Adkins departed Frese's staff to become a player development assistant with the Washington Wizards.
